Choosing hitting nets
The two numbers that decide whether a net works in your space are setback and ceiling height. Setback is how far the ball travels before it meets the netting; most full-size nets want roughly nine feet so the ball has room to slow down and drop cleanly into the baffle. Ceiling height governs which club you can swing — irons and wedges are comfortable under nine feet, while drivers want closer to ten. A heavier steel frame stays put through daily use and folds down between sessions. Look for a net rated to a ball speed higher than yours, a deep enough pocket to catch mishits, and a footprint that leaves room to stand back and follow through. Measure your tallest swing point, not your height — the club adds a couple of feet at the top.
